RE: Missed Connection - Nate - 04-21-2020

There's really no fight as he leads Delphine along, even the bird comes easily enough, once he figures out that he shouldn't grip it, but let it perch gently on his hand. It feels like a small mercy that it's easy, the confusion and stress of the night wrapping up into a comfortable bow. Nate's hand is firm, easily keeping the girl upright as they walk, and holding her steady while Sunjata works to put the pillows and blankets together into a makeshift bed.

Nate let's her get settled, and gently coaxes the bird off his hand onto the porch, smiling down at Delphine while he does. [say]"Get some sleep, and have some water tomorrow. You'll feel fine though."[/say] He laughs a little gently, stepping back and waiting for Sunjata to join him on the short trek back next door.

RE: Missed Connection - Sunjata - 04-21-2020

The makeshift bed is made, and Sunjata steps back to give Delphine all the room she needs to get settled, gaze flickering toward the Ascended as the bird hops off his hand onto the porch. His gaze flits back to the blonde as she pats the pillows thoughtfully and climbs into the blankets, taking a moment to chew on the inside of his cheek before he’s reaching for Nate then. “[say]Night Delphine. You and Remi will have a lot to talk about.[/say]” He offers with some half hidden wry smile crossing his face.

He reaches Nate’s side, a sharp exhale leaving him and an apologetic look sent toward the Ascended for the way the night had gone – certain he’d have to make it up to the Ascended at some point. For now, however, he’s tired and perhaps a bit grumpy, a bit exhausted. And honestly, he just wants to sleep.
