"He tried to teach me how to throw a punch once, so I can vouch for that," the bard offered with a chuckle. The Ronin he knew was fond of puns and adventures, but dying had rubbed some of the brashness from him, Jigano thought. There was a certain grim strength behind that playful grin, and he his humor hid a hardness that only a fool would cross by threatening the man's loved ones. "I think I prefer letting a weapon do the hitting for me, though. I bruise too easily to get that close to someone who's trying to hit me back," he declared with soulful eyes.
He laughed at his friend's joke, not just a chuckle as he tucked her arm close and let her lean on him with a fond smile. "The offer still stands," he murmured back gently, reminding her of a time that seemed distant now, the passage of time made strange by the stress of Zariah's reign. "And you are welcome."
