Remi might think that this proved something, that the Launceleyn had passed some test. But perhaps, just perhaps the other man had underestimated how poorly the summoner might react to such a deception.
Loren stood up, a true, genuine anger and sorrow coursing through him. How the alchemist ever thought his little trick might be okay, the Launceleyn didn't know. But it wasn’t. It absolutely wasn’t. When he spoke, his voice practically trembled with rage. [say]”How dare you. How fucking dare you play with my emotions like that. Pretend to betray Ronin like that.”[/say] The summoner pointed a shaking finger at Remi. [say]”Don’t come looking for me. And talk to your husband.”[/say] And with that he turned to go, leaving the other man behind.
Hopefully for good this time. And very definitely for now. If Remi wanted to be the bad guy, well, that was his choice.
