Thing was, James was quite good at keeping a conversation going. Even if he was the only participant, as it turned out. Babbling on about any number of things, it was a good few moments before the snake tossed his head over his shoulder to shoot the summoner a particularly filthy grin (he'd been speaking about the underwater city and a mermaid who'd been quite ingenious at keeping James' air supply going), when he noticed he was alone.

[say]"Oy!"[/say] He bleated, spinning about and raising his arms before letting them flop back down. [say]"Wanker."[/say] The snake concluded with a huff.

Oh well. Loren's loss really, ~~given James is the only character who actually knows about the world, having been born on the other side of the continent~~.
