Jigano saying something had 'snapped' in his magic was certainly a little alarming, but the bard seemed more perplexed than panicked, so Sam tried to calm his own response down to the same level. "Well...um. If it produces quills, it can't be such a bad thing."
It was a very special quill indeed, as it turned out, and Sam admittedly coveted it quite a bit, but he did not argue when Jigano said it was for the good of the guild. Perhaps later, he could ask for one for his own personal use. For the moment, he was happy with the retrieval of his friendship with Jigano, content to chat and work together for this day and many more past it.
