Korbin drew in a breath, then paused. Struggled against the impulse to say something snarky, and had obvious trouble with refraining from letting it spill. [say]"I will be fine,"[/say] he repeated, with some modikum of civility. It felt so hypocritical of the man to keep offering help when they'd already established that he didn't care if Korbin got robbed, shivved or thrown in the sea.
Nor did he want Sunjata to care; the very idea felt oily and disgusting, something to cringe away from. No thank you.
He did not get up, did not follow, did not accept the offer for the free room. Honestly, Korbin didn't even consider taking him up on it; letting someone else give him free stuff was exactly the kind of thing Korbin hated.
He would remain where he was, sitting in the sand. And when the opportunists inevitably did show up to eye his belongings with too much interest, he just took his things and moved to another part of the beach.
