Sorry didn't change things. Just like band aides didn't fix bullet holes. It was no matter. Maeve appreciated the muttered apology anyway, sensing the offer lying under the surface, knowing exactly what it meant. That was more than enough for her. Leaving the thought behind to instead focus on the task at hand, the Nightshade poured the last of her water down the well, listening for any sounds of splashing or perhaps a sigh. There is nothing except Melita's own offered words.

Let's get out of here before a landshark decides we make a good afternoon snack."[/say] Maeve said as Melita finished pouring her water, Aidon swooping down to pick Fangorn up in his claws, soaring with him back in the way they came. With a somewhat feral grin, Maeve fixed Melita with a bright gaze, [say]"Race ya!"[/say] Just like that they were off, racing a sinking sun, each other, and potential death. Not a bad way to end a day.
