RE: [RQ] pattern of the cracks - Evie - 10-04-2022

Voices rise and cajole in droves, all sorts drawn together in rivalry to distract from the physical efforts they’re compelled to complete. Evie’s own laughter joins the fray as she watched the blocks go sliding, pursued by dragon and magic alike. Hers and Deimos’ blocks seem more keen on battering into one another to dissuade success instead of aiming for the goal, which means neither of them are successful in their efforts. Magic ensures they are equally not the worst however, and the worker who takes that particularly insidious trophy grimaces goodnaturedly, grumbling even as he conceals a smile.

Evie grins and jostles a few of her teammates in a friendly manner as they follow Deimos’ summons to venture back to the sled. The blocks are easily accessible now at least, and Evie helps anyone struggling with a little burst of her magic when she can as she begins loading her own.

RE: [RQ] pattern of the cracks - Talyson - 10-04-2022

Tal just shook his head at the silly games, not in the mood for play today. Luckily the job got done regardless of the nonsense that he would have gleefully indulged in a season prior. At Deimos's call for rounding up the blocks he trotted back to his own sled and woke the dogs up, tightening harnesses and making sure everyone was bright eyed and bushy tailed for the work ahead.

With Bella's help he got the team and sled headed over to where his group had been working, pulling the sled up beside their neatly stacked blocks for easy loading. He grunted and took the brunt of the lifting off the older crew, though they had a more efficient routine of team-lifting the blocks.

Once they'd loaded their own he drove the sled towards the blocks farthest from Deimos's sled to help those harvesters more easily pile up. Meanwhile, Boreal helped Deimos and Evie by using her broad head and talons with traction to push ice blocks closer to the Wardens' sled so the men and women could lift them in without having to walk as far.

The Sword had been without amusements in so many other parameters, that he had no qualms about sharing them now. Even if they were silly, ridiculous, and juvenile, the work was still completed, forged along, with enough ice to fulfill the needs of their quest, and then some. With rounds of promised drinks circumventing down the line, he shook his head and smiled, persisting in helping with the loading of the ice, either by raw power or air incantations.

And once everything was complete, he allowed a long sigh, a breath of relief. [say]“Good work, everyone. We can head back.”[/say] Patting the nearest sled, drivers, occupants, and fellow citizens could hasten onward, making the journey home.
