RE: the brewing storm - Noah - 10-21-2022

All weapons went where they would be useful if needed to defend Halo from assailants. The walls had done a good job for years, but he hoped these fortifications would only increase their safety in the coming war.

Deimos told them they could rest after they cleaned up, and Noah laughed. With the rest of them, the hunter helped pick up debris. He moved about the west side wall, hoarding Scattered tools and leftovers from each of their projects.

“You all did so well, thank you for your hard work.” Noah said to everyone, giving those closest to him firm handshakes or brief hugs to show his appreciation.

All that remains is clean up, and despite her flagging energy, Evie is just as stubborn and tenacious as the rest of the crew. Anyway, isn’t cleanup just the sign of the end? So she draws on the last vestiges of her energy - with a little boost from her healing magic to tend to any sore, pulled muscles - and goes about collecting debris.

It’s a variety of things, and upon seeing a few others helping with pickup she changes pace and assists with piling tools together to be cleaned and returned to the guilds, forgers, or other such places from whence they came. Exhausted but beaming proudly, she touches a few shoulders, and helps heal a few split hands and sore joints of the workers who come to her with muttered complaints. They’ve done it, and she couldn’t be prouder.

RE: the brewing storm - Deimos - 10-21-2022

Despite their exhaustion, fatigue, and worn-out layers, everyone came together to ensure the sanctity and safety of Halo was a measured success. None of them would’ve been able to commit to such labor and hard work without one another, and it was a welcome relief when the tools were no longer scattered, and everything back in its place. [say]“Thank you,”[/say] he followed after the Sentinel – gaze settling along the arches of the stone wall, the weapons across the strong, sturdy, formidable pieces. Hopefully it would be enough.

And he wasn’t going to let the dread sink in.

[say]“You all deserve your rest. Have a good evening.”[/say] And with that, each was dismissed with a warmer smile and a designation – that they should be proud of the efforts and strides they accomplished.

[say]Thank you so much team! We’re wrapped up and good to go!
