It was with the carelessness of a man who preferred solitude anyway, that Remi was able to shrug off entire sections of the world in order to not have to deal with difficult situations. No doubt it would have fundamentally broken something more within Isla (if indeed there was anything more to break), to know that Remi's response to their long-anticipated meeting had been a gulp of wine and some half-hearted attempt at understanding that had been immediately pushed aside in lieu of more wine and naps.
[say]"You may indeed."[/say] The Lullaby replies cheerfully; rather than rising, Remi shrinks down into a tiny ball of black and silver. Carefully scurrying up to perch around Ronin's shoulders, the raccoon presses a cold but adoring nose against the Huntsman's ear and chitters his love.
