took the words right out of my mouth - Kiada - 07-17-2024 She decides very quickly then and there that this shrine is much more comfortable when it isn’t Deepfrost or Leafchange slowly heading into the cold. It makes it that much easier for her to arrive with the jacket in question looped over her arm, the items brought and carefully kept to ensure that they remain perfect in her trek here. In fact, before she calls out to her new goddess, Kiada spends a moment to light the torches, setting out each and every item necessary for this turn in, and feeling confident in the result of her work – which was a very rare thing for the Harpy. The jacket is folded neatly in the middle before the shrine, while the left side harbors the meat from the Ningo she’d butchered along with all of its feathers spread out carefully. On the right hand side of the jacket, she sets the vial with the crimson rich sap of the blood birch tree. And when she’s satisfied with the layout of it all, she steps into the center of it, over the jacket, to prick her finger and spill her blood onto the rubies. “[say]Dygra, I have completed the tasks you asked of me.[/say]” The version of her this time is different – her head still held high, but her tail waves in excitement rather than worry and fear, her heart and mind open and receptive and happy as opposed to the stress that had weighed on her the first time she’d asked to see the goddess of entropy. Quest turn in for the upgrade to her jacket! :D Quest was received here: pink skies
RE: took the words right out of my mouth - Dygra - 07-21-2024 Warmly lit, the cluster of rubies before the shrine seem to glitter with the flames, and that is even before Kiada adds her blood to the mix. She will get the sensation of something shifting and moving within the rock, something large and hot and dark, before Dygra's sensual voice spills out through the crevices to her dark daughter. [say]"Very well done,"[/say] she purrs, and when Kiada next looks down, both sap and feathers will be gone, and her jacket will seem somehow more than it was before. The meat, however, remains. [say]"Feast,"[/say] Dygra urges. [say]"You are all that you are and more, but you are nothing without strength to do what you will."[/say] This offering is for the harpy, evidently, raw and glistening as it might be. Kiada has completed her quest! She has received the following upgrade to her item: Type: Light | Style: Other | Level: Upgraded Little Red Riding Jacket | This red and gold embossed coat, lined with fur and feathers and heavily hooded, can sustain an Ancient in the cold for 30 minutes below 0C, 15 minutes below -10C, and 10 minutes below -5C. RE: took the words right out of my mouth - Kiada - 07-21-2024 Relief immediately spreads even further through the Harpy’s limbs and mind as her goddess’ sensual voice fills the cavern and in turn – herself. Her gaze drops to the offerings granted from the quest she’d received, watching each and every one of them vanish and give the red jacket an air of something more. “[say]Thank you.[/say]” She murmurs softly, flashing a bright fanged smile to the cavern and her goddess around her. Looking to the ningo meat, carefully collected and presented, she blinks at it a touch surprised that it was part of a quest granted for her to enjoy – but who is she to deny it? Murmuring another soft note of thanks, the Harpy picks up each portion of the ningo meat, devouring it one after another with relief and strength filling her from it. RE: took the words right out of my mouth - Dygra - 08-03-2024 Who indeed is Kiada to deny herself anything when the world folds and changes and crumbles around itself so often, only to become something new and bright and fresh? Such are Dygra's tenets, and as the harpy feasts, she will truly feel herself seem stronger than from merely consuming the food alone; a sense of wellbeing and satisfaction will fill her, the sort that seems only possible from indulging in one's bloodlust on the rarest of creatures. Dygra does not speak again, but the dark warmth of her presence will continue to envelop Kiada right up until the moment she decides to leave, and both she and her jacket will be better for it. ~FIN |
