Court of the Hallmark Holiday - AU Contest - Blu - 11-20-2025

Dizzy Jump into the spirit of the season by submitting your characters into a Hallmark holiday contest!
  • Your entered character will be paired with another entered character, keeping in mind sexual orientations, and then the pairs will be assigned a Hallmark style plot to guide the thread. These are modern day Alternate Universes (or whatever time period might be specified in your plot) and should just contain the two entrant characters. You can reference other characters onsite if you own them, but they shouldn't be a heavy focus. Consider that there's usually three stages to a plot: meet cute, dramatic arc, resolution/happy ending.
  • You may enter as many characters as you want as long as they're yours, even dead ones (they'd be alive in this AU setting).
  • Because we need an even amount of characters and correctly aligning sexual orientations to partner them up, if I could have one or two volunteer characters to be slotted in 'as needed', that'd be great!
  • Ideally threads are complete by the time voting begins, but since it is up to vote that'll be the judgement call of players if they feel an incomplete thread is still worth placing

RULES
Hundred-points Word Limit: Normal post word minimums apply.
Disguised-face Not-Canon: Threads must be posted in the Character Resources -> Not-Canon board. Please link them here so I can ensure all are accounted for. 
Raised-hand Character entry deadline: November 26, 2025 at 8:00pm Pacific time.
Zipper-mouth-face Thread finish deadline: December 26, 2025 at 8:00pm Pacific time.
Crown Voting: Will commence once it closes and go through the end of the month, everyone may vote. You are voting for first place, and whoever naturally places second or third from that will earn those placements, unless there's a tie in which case a second vote will be run as needed.

- Zavien is the town's sheriff
- Sohalia is a museum curator who's come to town to get her hands on some credible rumors about a starlit artifact that'd be perfect for her Christmas exhibit. She isn't the only one though, and soon nefarious acts are happening, clearly trying to deter her, will the town Sheriff save the day and her heart?

2. Noah & Rexanna
- Noah is the town's quiet toymaker
- Rexanna is an event planner from the big city, come into town in order to run a holiday charity gala for her boss who's denanded ir in their quaint hometown. After some issues, Noah's workshop ends up being the only viable space. Can they come to terms in time to raise funds and maybe more?

3. Lyra & Charlie
- Lyra is the local ranger, doing her part for the people she loves in the backwood area, so she arrives to house sit a friend's cabin while they're away for the holidays.
- Charlie has also been hired to house sit the same cabin, and planned on using it to run a bunch of social media challenges from. Will Charlie's spirit spark Lyra to find more warmth in life than just the woods she's begun to isolate herself in?

4. Sunjata & Neron
- Sunjata runs the local small town bar that's fallen on hard times
- Neron is running for mayor and trying to climb his way up the ladder. They both are dating sisters, but don't know it until they arrive for a multi-day family holiday in a ski lodge. Neron is hoping to win over the wealthy family, but Sunjata seems to be the one effortlessly charming them, so they might be able to strike a deal for success, or find maybe they're with the wrong partners all along.

5. Mateo & Letha
- Letha is the owner of a coveted jewelry store in town, and she's decided to sell by the new year, but only to the right buyer.
- Mateo is in the market for expanding his business, but in his attempts to secure Letha's store and best the other competition through meetings and outings, will he secure more than either of them counted on?
