From Attuned to Ascended to Ancient, Kiada Njovu-Reyes has been reborn several times throughout her short life, but her fighting spirit has never once been diminished. With beauty, grace and a quick wit, Kiada is the whole package wrapped in an infectious smile. Recent endeavours have found her in the heart of the Hollowed Grounds, aiding the region and bettering it for her new Ancient kin, and whatever she does next, we know it's sure to pack a punch.
Congratulations, Kiada!

Court of the Fallen was created in October of 2018 by Odd, Honey, and Crooked.
Skinning and hosting by the epically talented Kaons, and functionality fanciness by the coding magic of Neowulf. If you ever see either of them around, make sure to show them some love!
Clem preens at the offer to teach him, feeling unexpectedly emotional at the idea that they are both so eager to do so. To foster his learning, to help him grow into the young man he'd never anticipated he'd become. Though he will never age, at least he can say that the family he has found is far better than the one he had been born with. That now, surrounded by other Ascended and their loved ones, Clemente feels like he has a future. A goal. More than scrounging up meals and wondering if the hunger would steal him away in the middle of the night.
For once in his life, Clemente wants to live. More than just survive. And these two men, unassuming and kind, are intent on helping him learn how to do that.
He cannot flush in pleasure, but the expression is clear enough on his face at the effusive praise from both men, ducking his head in uncharacteristic shyness. "Guess I'll make more, then." Even as a bubble of warmth feels like it will explode through his chest at any moment.
It's readily forgotten beneath the thrill of catching a fish, shouting incoherently in excitement and barely keeping a grip on his pole as Nate helps him reel in his new catch. Giant and silver, glinting in the moonlight. "HOLY SHIT I CAUGHT A FUCKIN' FISH!" Clem screeches to the moon, and in that moment immediately understands the appeal of this otherwise boring hobby.
Your mother started drinking like the whole world died And You've been waiting for a miracle all your life
Then you're left in the dust, unless I stuck by ya You're a sunflower, I think your love would be too much
It's a fight, more of one than he expects, but they haul a fish out of the ocean together, and he can't help the deep chuckle that leaves him as Clem screams to the heavens. Bright eyes turn to find Sunjata, sparkling with a deep content joy, and his brows rise in surprise when he sees the attuned has also caught a fish, albeit smaller. Not missing a beat, Nate moves to get the big fish off the line, offering it out to Clem to hold as he talks, guiding the younger ascended's hands to the best places to hold. "Big boy here can be the one you take and spread around. You can come back to the house with us, and we'll get it cleaned and divided all nice for you."
He takes a few steps towards Sunjata, hand coming out to wrap around the attuned's hip while he grabs the line with the smaller wriggling fish on it, holding it aloft. "Well, at least we weren't competing." He teases, pulling the other man in to close their circle again, now that there was no worry of tangling lines. "I'll show you how to clean this guy, and we'll get him cooking over a fire here." He offers, wondering if it'll be new for the both of them.
And then after that, the campfire and the feast they'd caught for themselves, a swimming lesson, one orca and two ascendeds, the perfect combination for the ocean. Despite the differences, the cover of night instead of the warmth of day, this is the closest Nate's felt to a real family in a while, and he'd pulled all the pieces together himself. He just hopes it lasts, long enough for him to be able to actually voice those feelings.
Or you'll be left in the dust, unless I stuck by ya You're the sunflower, you're the sunflower

He hopes that Clemente would make a few more poles, if for nothing else but to give the boy a bit of the confidence that he could find this place his home too – contribute in the ways he could. But then the poles are moving, his is quite definitely empty, but Nate’s wiggles and Clemente and Nate are already reeling in a fish, and so Sunjata follows through the motions as he captures Nate’s line, reeling it in with a bit of excitement at wondering what he’s caught.
He hopes it’s not something stupid like a can.
Clem’s screech reaches his ears as he’s pulling the smaller fish out of the water, a loud laugh leaving him as he flashes the younger Ascended a grin – then his eyes land on the fish he’d caught. Well, it was certainly something at least. There’s a moment of pause as he listens to Nate, then watches the Ascended approach and feels his hand wrap around his waist. A smirk crosses his face as he looks back to the fish and flashes Nate an innocent look. “Oh-ho. See, this is your pole. Therefore, your fish.” Sunjata quips with a wink before following Nate into the circle.
A nod and his smirk shifting into a softer smile is added – a bit of a bonding experience ahead of them. The campfire is easy to put together with the reappearance of Haai to start the flame, even if Sunjata still had the lighter in his pocket, and before long the swimming lesson goes by without a hitch. And for once? For once everything just seems to work, as silly and simple it seems to be, it was anything but.
