Koa was not the only one for whom a chance meeting was tumultuous. It was easier to ignore her lingering feelings when Koa wasn't around, but when he was standing right in front of her, she was stricken yet again by just how handsome he was, by the memory of his arms around her and his lips on hers; truth be told, she wasn't sure anymore if she was halfway in love with him, or if her feelings were more indicative of lust. Maybe it was a little bit of both.

Fortunately for Soh, Koa didn't flee from the sight of her; in fact, they had a fairly normal exchange of words, which was a surprise given their recent escapades. Soh smiled, relieved, if still a bit unsure, and waved away Koa's apology. "Don't worry about it. It was an accident," she said, a more genuine smile widening on her face, her eyes sparkling with humor. "It was an accident, right?" At least she'd been able to find a doctor with a healing item; her nose had been fixed in a trice, no mark left behind to show that it had been broken in the first place. She'd been pleased. The eyebrow scar she'd gotten when she was attacked was quite enough lasting injury for her vanity, thank you very much.

Tarak clawed his way onto Soh's shoulder, drawing a wince from the young woman as his talons sank into skin. She sighed ruefully. This was one of her favorite shirts, and Tarak was likely to ruin it now that he was excited. The griffin balanced precariously on her shoulder, leaning toward Pip with a playful squawk.

When Koa accepted her invitation, Soh's eyes widened momentarily in surprise. Truthfully, she'd expected him to turn her down. "Oh, great!" she said. "Do you, um, want to come join me at my table for a drink, or some lunch or, I don't know, just to sit?" As for if everything was okay... well, that was a difficult question to answer. "Everything's... complicated," she said after a moment, deciding that honesty was the best policy. And everything was complicated. Especially where Koa was concerned.
