From Attuned to Ascended to Ancient, Kiada Njovu-Reyes has been reborn several times throughout her short life, but her fighting spirit has never once been diminished. With beauty, grace and a quick wit, Kiada is the whole package wrapped in an infectious smile. Recent endeavours have found her in the heart of the Hollowed Grounds, aiding the region and bettering it for her new Ancient kin, and whatever she does next, we know it's sure to pack a punch.
Congratulations, Kiada!

Loren
not afraid to use every trick in the book
Loren had barely begun to scratch the surface of the Atheneum, as the structure with the books was apparently called. Indeed, after that initial discovery with Ronin, the former (and maybe now current) librarian had been busy with other matters, namely survival, along with relationship drama with both his family and his partner whatever Remi. However, inexorably, he was drawn back to the location. It called to something deep within his bones; not only were the books unknown to him, something that thrilled him to his core, the thought of something relatively normal seemed excellent to him.
So, he’d shown up that morning hoping to spend some time putting the place in order. Indeed, he’d come up with a whole plan to explore it—putting any volumes in danger of damage to the elements, though overall they were surprisingly well preserved and untouched by the years—before he began to catalog them. Once that daunting task was done, he could start to reorganize them.
Of course, best laid plans and all that: he’d walked into the room and immediately let out an outraged shriek. A squash was crouched over a book that had either fallen (or perhaps been pulled), and it was ripping it to shreds. Throwing out a hand, sparks flew and a bird of fire burst into being as every part of Loren’s very being protested this idignity. While perhaps summoning a phoenix in a room full of very flammable tomes was not a great idea, the Launceleyn’s control was excellent; the bird swooped forward and snatched up the gourd in its talons with precise movements, not even a single spark falling on the damaged pages.
The phoenix tossed the gourd into the air and then flew through it; the smell of burned squash filled the air. Under normal circumstances, Loren might’ve found it delicious. However, he was too angry to care. Besides, it was a bit too well done.
Immediately, a chittering started up from every corner of the room. Loren whirled, eyes widening, as a veritable army of gourds appeared in the stacks. Half of them scattered to the far corners of the room. However, he was more preoccupied with the half that charged towards him, an enormous tide. Although he directed his phoenix to tackle the largest clump, he couldn’t have her cover every side.
Nor did he see the gourds that had climbed the shelves and dropped down onto him, raining up his shoulders. Some missed and splattered onto the ground. However, enough landed that the weight bore him to the ground. They immediately began biting and nipping; while each individually wasn’t enough to do much damage, together they were doing quite a bit of harm. Hopefully someone had heard his cry from earlier—or his screams now—and would come to rescue him from being squashed, in more ways than one.OOC Note: There are three open spots in this PQ.
