ANNA
Another clever word sets off an unsuspecting herd
Samael jerked in the sky as he felt the touch to Anna's arm. Closing his wings, the worm-like dragon dropped from the sky and circled around his bondmate's side. She dropped the purple, sickly plants.
She couldn't help the way she reacted. Violent and fast, Anna grabbed the stranger's arm and twisted it up. Her eyes were a blaze of fury and grief and even as she looked up at his innocent, helpful face she hissed. "Are you not appalled?" She shoved him away with one arm, Samael crackling with white-hot sparks at her side. "Do you not see what is happening? She must be held accountable -- she's the leader." The dragoon sneered the last word, having seen nothing of the woman sine her rise to power. She hadn't even seen Anju, or Koa, to ask them what they thought of this new Reaper.
How could the city be in the hands of the Reaper when they were just starting to blossom under the Heart?

And as you step back into line, a mob jumps to their feet
Let Valor our hearts sing.
Let all who seek protection
Find it 'neath the Dragoon's Wing.
