WESSEX
the wraith
she tied you to her kitchen chair
she broke your throne and she cut your hair
she broke your throne and she cut your hair
“Excellent,” Wessex says with a sly smile to Neron, and a similar glance to Edwyn. Mysterious, indeed, she seems to acknowledge. Everything for a reason, dear brothers - everything for a reason. And it’s a good thing, too, given the turn of events. Who knows what they might have blabbed in their delirium, and certain information always seems to have a way of getting to the wrong people.
Having heard of Safrin’s infection with the blight and seeing how Ronin was infected, the Wraith certainly understands now, after the fact. The lack of comfort in the moment was distressing, but she hardly remembers that now. “Not yet,” she confirms and then turns to them as a whole. “We’re going to change how Outlanders enter Caido. No more Attuned. No more Abandoned. Just Ascended and Accepted.” Hopefully they can now understand why she kept this mission a secret - it isn’t inconceivable that everyone would be up in arms about it.
Wessex then returns her gaze to the Voice, because that’s all she knows; the rest will come from their Lady.

and from your lips she drew
