The presence of a clearer, human voice has Evie craning over her shoulder from where she is knelt in front of the collapsed in den. It’s a young woman, though not one she knows. Still, any help will surely make a difference, and the Evergreen waves the girl closer so they don’t have to shout over the sound of the geysers. Once she has done that, Evie points out the circumference of disturbed rock with fresh soil and pebbles marking its change in nature.
“These rocks fell and trapped someone or something inside. I’m using my magic to slowly remove them without collapsing it further on top of them.” Which is nerve wracking when done alone, so there is clear relief on her otherwise pinched and worried face that Sohalia is there. “Can you help me? I need to move the debris but I have to focus my magic on the inside of the hole.” Moving further away would risk leaving her circumference of active magical ability, and she can’t afford the consequences of that.
