and everybody's gotta breathe somehow
Politics were not, shall we say, up Alys's alley. But, if she had learned nothing else in life, it was that one should never say never. Although she was quite content to linger behind the lines, as it were, helping from the background and remaining mostly anonymous, she could also see that there were many opportunities for growth among the frigid snowfields of Halo. She thought of the greenhouse, and how nice it might be to expand upon that. If the gods could make the Citadel warm(er) than it might otherwise be, could they also create a plot of land that would allow crops to grow as they did in the greenhouse? Were there animals that Halo could exploit that could survive in the harsher climes?
Trade was, as Deimos said, a difficulty if the other regions didn't even have leaders (and that left Alys to wonder how they were even functioning, if they didn't have someone to direct their region). Alys pursed her lips as she thought. "Could Halo help with that?" she wondered aloud. "Maybe offer assistance with finding a leader, or something?" It was probably a stupid idea - after all, what other nation would want someone coming in and telling them how to rule their own lands - but it was a thought nonetheless.
