Octavius
Octavius is affronted by Koa's blasé response and snarky reply, sure that his last hit struck true and with a good bit of force. Then Koa retreats, takes his time with his next move, and Octavius' irritation fades as its replaced with glowing satisfaction. The only reason Koa would be retreating is if he needed to regroup, and he wouldn't have to regroup if the last hit had been a simple "mosquito bite."
Octavius understands that his opponent's style is feisty and quick; he must have really unbalanced him to make him slow down in such a way. This is only confirmed by the fact that Koa's next attack misses, however passionate and graceful its execution. Something Octavius does appreciate is that Koa's determination never wavers; not all of Octavius' previous opponents can say the same of their spars.
As Koa rolls past Octavius and leaps up behind him, Octavius is ready for it, turning around and sweeping his sword toward Koa at the same time. It strikes Koa in the upper arm this time as he stands from his somersault, and Octavius cannot stop the cheeky grin that comes to his face as he hits.
"2-1," is all he says, sounding extremely pleased with himself.
