Octavius
Octavius waits for Koa to move, watching true bitterness thread across his features. It's more than bitterness, though; it's something too complex for Octavius to understand. Either way, Koa's very angry now; that much can be assumed. And why wouldn't he be? It's clear that Octavius has an advantage here, what with his upbringing... Though he has no idea what Koa's background could be.
He comes in again to attack, and Octavius is ready for it, dodging almost too easily with a quick sidestep. Another second later, however, there is a sudden sharp pain piercing into his ankle, and Octavius yells in pain, grasping his thigh and looking down to see a strange creature. It is reptilian in shape yet furry, which confused him. The wings are what clued him in on the fact that the creature with its little jaws clamped around his ankle is a dragon.
He tries to get it to release his leg by shaking his ankle roughly, leaving him to balance on one foot, frustrating when it proves more difficult to remove than expected. It must be an ally of Koa's. Octavius knew that some Dragoons had dragon companions but didn't realize that Koa, a newbie like Octavius, could have one as well.
