"I'm sure I could make an exception for you," she chortles, sinking into his hold. People could clamor and claim favoritism all they wanted, but there was no clause in the Academy rules stating she couldn't have favorites.
"Anyway, tell me about your last trip. Before you ambushed me of course." She's eager to have him regale her with tales, a great storyteller even if he doesn't see himself as one.
