'Cause there were pages turned with the bridges burned
These tides were growing to be a total pain in her ass. Paige grits her teeth, tugging on the line of her small sailboat, trying to avoid the rocky outcropping that threatened to ruin her day. She narrowly manages to avoid it, aiming for the sandy shore, and running herself aground as gracefully as she can manage. Paige grumbles, cursing to herself as she grabs up her small picnic basket, deciding she might as well enjoy herself while she waits for the surf to calm a bit more.
Plopping down into the sand with a grunt, the Attuned puts the basket between her legs, opening it with a bit more force than necessary. She grabs her wrapped sandwich out of the basket, tearing a bite out of it much like a feral animal, chewing before washing it down with a swig of something that surely isn't water.
Squinting up into the sunlight, Paige digs her toes into the sand, humming at the damp warmth that spreads over her skin. She always liked it out here. Why exactly didn't she come more often? Paige snorts to herself, a grin curling on her lips, "Because you're building an empire, Berkley. Don't you forget that." Paige says mostly to herself, bringing up one of her joints to her lips and lighting it with a flick of her wrist and the strike of a match.
