The petals were delicate white gold foil, attached to a stem of verdigris-green copper. Several thorns of red gold dotted the stem, a reminder that just because something was beautiful it did not mean it was not dangerous.
He held his StArmour armlet to his heart as he bowed his head, but in his mind was the choice that Safrin had given him before she had gone to lonely battle among the distant stars.
