Hotaru
Tonight, you look so lovely
It's your eyes that define me
Hotaru can read her uncertainty far more clearly, but she keeps her arms around Maea until the woman herself makes a move to pull away. It is not up to her to decide Maea's limits or whether she wants to push them. For Hotaru, to whom physicality comes as natural as breathing, it is easy to give it freely until Maea's cup has overflowed. It's your eyes that define me
"I disagree. I hope you think I look beautiful, so that you can believe you are as well," she asserts quite forwardly, at odds with the serene smile on her face. "It's natural on you, after all. I'm simply an imitation." And though Hotaru knows she is objectively beautiful, there is a certain loveliness of natural features that even her mimicry cannot compare to. Giving Maea a bit of a break from her sincerity, Hotaru grins, wolfish and pleased with the idea of satisfying Ludo. "Only one way to find out, right?"
It's a bit unnatural to hold onto Maea instead of releasing her to pull out her offerings, but Ru is determined to have Maea choose when to pull away so she merely tilts her head. "Candy with this strange ingredient inside that pops and crackles harmlessly once the shell dissolves, and a small collection of paint pots. Surely lots of fun to be had there." Especially given the vibrant colors she'd sourced for her offering, envisioning all the misleading painted arrows Ludo could put on the trees in its woods and the way that might please it.
