He slips it back into a pocket as he sits up a little toward her, listening and contemplating internally. At least, until she mentions the pleasant time, and Sunjata shifts to stand, keeping her directly in front of him almost in a mirror of what had occurred back in the Refuge with a small smile and a nod. “It was very pleasant.” He hums. “Unfortunately, I worry that my opinion of you will not sway them.” He admits, scanning her face to try and guestimate what she might say. “I was not trusted before.” In the previous war, which he isn’t entirely sure she knows the details of. "They've only just started to see any changes I've made." A broad, tattooed shoulder shrugs, but he waits for her instruction regardless. Perhaps she knows how he might be able to prove it to them.
