Sharing none of the same affection as the Huntsman did for the Flood, the alchemist can only shrug his shoulders and nod.

Feeling cagey and slightly untethered, Ronin will find the alchemist's body quite tense as he wraps his arms around him, and not simply because of his muscle. For a moment Remi wants to shrug him off, to be childish and petulant, but that's only on the surface. Deep down he wants nothing at all but his husband's arms around him, their bed, and the life they were fighting for every day.

"I'm sorry, I don't mean to be..." Vaguely he gestures with one hand, before letting it fall to drape over Ronin's. "I do not think there is a solution here that is not full of holes. Not a way forward that we both couldn't question." Spinning in his husband's grip, Remi leans down to wrap his arms around Ronin's shoulders and hug him close. "I do not think it would help, but...if I could be with you before and after? I think that would be what I would need." Bookended by the Huntsman, Remi thought he just might be able to have the conversation he had now apparently agreed to have.
