From being an Abandoned who had rarely left the Hollowed Grounds, to embracing the call of adventure, to dying and being reborn first as an Ascended and then as an Ancient, Maea has gone through quite the amount of changes in her life. One thing remains common, though, in her attempts to find out just where she belongs; she’s always had a craving for knowledge which has brought her to so many places and to meet so many people here in Caido. We can’t wait to see what else is in store for her!

The table was much heavier than Soh had anticipated. It had been one thing to lay it on its side and flip it on it's top, but it was a whole other thing to actually try to move it into the building. She tried first one way, then another, but she simply wasn't strong enough to do it by herself. She stood with the table leaned on her shoulder, panting slightly, and considered her options.
Fortunately, it wasn't long before the man helping Phoebe came to offer her a hand. "Thank you!" Soh said gratefully. With the man helping, Soh was able to lift her side of the table and assist in bringing the furniture inside.

Never say that Phoebe left someone hurting in need...of healing anyways as Liam would find out. "Here..." she said, reaching out to touch his shoulder. The Nightingale sent healing magic through him, successfully healing his toe, but at the same time sent a wave of pleasure crashing over him. Such was the price of the demigoddess' magic.
Liam has no problem helping Soh move the table inside...except perhaps for a rather hard problem in his pants.
Sohalia, blissfully unaware of Liam's problem helps move the table inside. All she needed to do now was reattach the legs and stand it up!

Whatever Liam was expecting, it wasn't for Phoebe to have healing powers - or for her healing powers to feel so damn good.
When she touched him, a wave of pleasure crashed over him, leaving him gaping at her with surprise and desire, wondering where these feelings had come from. She was beautiful, of course; he'd be mad not to find her attractive. But for one, he hardly knew her, and for another, that certainly hadn't been at the forefront of his mind when he'd come here to help her today.
It took him a moment to realize that his toe had stopped hurting; blushing furiously, he stammered something nonsensical and hurried out to help Sohalia. Perhaps the physical labor would take his mind off his sudden arousal.

Soh was blissfully unaware of what had transpired between Phoebe and Liam, and she was all the happier for it. She merely appreciated the offer of help and stepped back with satisfaction as she and Liam set the tabletop on the ground inside the building. Now all that was left was to put the legs back on the table!
She set about doing so, waving off an offer of assistance from Liam. After all, she'd taken the table apart and therefore was the best equipped to put it back together. Instead of explaining what went where, it would take her less time to simply do it herself.
When she'd finished the legs - hopefully without any further mishaps - she turned back to Liam. "Could you help me flip the table over?" she asked.

Phoebe merely laughed lightly at the darkening of Liam's gaze, then his sudden blush. She of course knew what had happened. And frankly it was fun to leave men bamboozled like that sometimes. So she smiled and went back to washing windows.
Liam is healed but rightfully confused. Hopefully he has his wits about him to help with the table.
Sohalia has no trouble putting the table back together, thankfully with new, not stripped screws. All that was left was to flip the table over and situate the chairs.

Bamboozled was certainly the right way to put it, as Liam found his mind wandering back to the pleasurable sensation of Phoebe's healing even as he helped with the table. It had taken him by surprise, sure, but if that was what her healing could do, what else was Phoebe capable of? He couldn't help his gaze drifting over to her as he set the table down with Soh, swallowing hard as he realized yet again just how beautiful she was.
Focus, his mind hissed, and he straightened, hurrying quickly back out of the building to gather up the chairs. These he brought in two at a time, squeezing through the door and setting them out of the way. As Soh put the legs back on the table, Liam turned to Phoebe. "Where, uh - where do you want the table and chairs?"
When Soh was done and Phoebe had directed them, Liam helped to situate the table and chairs in their correct positions.

While innocent and naive, Soh was not completely oblivious - after all, she had now made not one, but two conquests of her own, and it was enough that she could tell that something was going on between Liam and Phoebe, even if she didn't know what. She took in the man's red face with a raised brow, but said nothing. Whatever was going on between he and her friend, as long as Phoebe was happy, that was all Soh cared about.
In any case, Liam helped her flip the table right side up, and after Phoebe gave them instructions on where to place the table and chairs, Soh helped to move everything to the proper location, adjusting the chairs just so and stepping back to admire their handiwork. "Okay!" she said, clapping her hands together. "What's next?"

Oh, but how could she not have fun with this? It had been ages since a man looked at her that way - that she had noticed anyways - and it felt good even if it was artificially created. Sobshe swayed her hips a little more here and there and made sure to toss pretty smiles his way. Poor thing got on the playful side of Frey's demigoddess.
She directed the two as to where to place things, the table in the middle of the room and the chairs around it, with the one with a taller back at the head of the table.
"That's everything! Thank you so much for helping!" she said brightly.

Was Liam imagining things, or was Phoebe intentionally teasing him? He wasn't sure what to make of her swaying hips or the pretty smiles she shot his way, so he decided that it must be in his head. After all, why would she be interested in him, of all people? He was plenty of things, but worthy of someone like Phoebe? Nope, that he was not. Besides, the whole situation was bizarre. There was nothing there for him to be worthy of, of that he was sure. This was all some strange side effect of her apparent healing ability, and he was sure that it would wear off. Eventually.
But gods, it would be easier if she stopped looking at him like that.
Giving himself a stern, silent talking to, Liam refocused his efforts on the task at hand. It took no time at all for them to position the tables and chairs, and then Soh was saying her goodbyes, leaving Liam alone with his new leader. "Was there... anything else you needed?" he asked, his mouth a little dry as he inched toward the door, eager to go... do something. Maybe take a cold shower. Maybe take a nap. Anything to reset his poor brain.

That's everything! said Phoebe, and Soh shot her a delighted smile. "It looks so wonderful in here, Phoebe!" she gushed. And it was the truth. After Stormbreak, the Greatwood was one of Soh's favorite places in Caido, and she imagined that she would be visiting more often now, especially since she and Jude were together. Besides, having a pen pal was lovely, but there was something even better about seeing her friend in person.
Since they seemed to be done - or, rather, done with her - Soh bid her friend a goodbye. "It was nice to meet you, Liam," Soh said, then turned to Phoebe. "Let me know if you need anything else!" She hugged the older woman before waving goodbye and disappearing out the door.
