Despite her normal reticence, even Anju must admit that Sohalia's lightheartedness fits well in her home and presence. She does not get lonely in the typical sense - not only an introvert, but burdened with Riya's constant presence (she gets a snort from far away for that one) - but it doesn't mean she is blind to how nice the companionship is today.
It's both validating to know Anju had not missed her somehow over the years and surprising that she is so recent a citizen. "I was born here, as were my family at least three generations back.
