Moving the boulders was hard work, and work that George did mostly on his own. He hadn't expected Flora to help with such a physical task, really, and his estimation of Jack was leaning more towards him being rather less than helpful as well. So it was with a mental shrug that George continued on with his task, shifting stones and dirt out of the way of the water, pausing periodically to take a sip of whatever beverage Flora had to offer at the time.
When it finally came in, though, they ran into a wee bit of a problem. The water could come in just fine - but it had nowhere to go back out. "If you can push the water back long enough that I can dig out a slope, that might work," agreed George. "Or there's always the possibility of digging a trench to catch the overflow." He looked towards Flora, raising an eyebrow, and waited on her instruction.

George makes a suggestion and waits for further instruction.
