Octavius
For the first time, Octavius looks down and really studies Kallan, noting the strange protrusions of bone from the edge of her hairline, and the thin tail that hangs down behind her. She doesn't look particularly strong, but these features are so unusual to him that he suspects she must have some type of power. However, it was not a guarantee she would fight.
At her question, Octavius has to roll his eyes. This is certainly not the type of thrill and glory he is seeking in life, though how is she to know? He has to give a distasteful look at Kenneth on his opposite side before he says,
"It's a favor for a friend. He's in quite a bit of debt, and this will lower the amount he owes considerably." He decides to omit the fact that he's also contributing quite a bit of money to help with said debt. The fight in the ring continues. Both fighters are digging their heels in, but Octavius knows that once one of them them yields, it will be his turn to fight.
