It's with a stream of compliments in the travelling tongue that Mateo greets his sister, hugging her tightly and releasing her only so she can make Everest feel awkward (as is her custom) and move on. He'll catch up with her later, the botanist busy snagging a drink and carefully collecting a sprig of mint to put into it. He's just bringing it to his lips when Hotaru catches his eye, Mateo lowering the glass to offer her a dimpled smile.
"Ciao, he trills to her, only able to raise his glass since his other hand is still safe in Ever's pocket. Speaking of the aviator, it doesn't take much more than a look from Mateo for him to know that his friend is Done, despite it only having been a few minutes. "Would you like to go out for some fresh air?" he asks, offering the other man a way out. "I will make sure to come out to the bonfire every now and then, so if you wonder where I am, go and wait for me there?"
