Had he attempted to refuse the gift, she would have insisted - shy but firm, with a quiet determination that would have - hopefully - convinced him.Luckily, he accepted the gift with a word on thanks, leaving Soh only to smile. "You're welcome." With nothing really left to say, having provided the thanks she'd wanted to and gathered the information she'd hoped for, she said, "Well, I'll get out of your hair. I know you must be quite busy. Thank you again for everything." Unless he had more to say, it was time for her to go.
