Areti's parents were two major gods, their power vast and immeasurable. She was crafted of the universe, stars and sky all pressed into an elegant bodice.. However, given she had eight other siblings, all of whom held their own prowess with magic and because of this her parents grew fearful of their children dethroning them. Perhaps procreation hadn’t been the best idea, pooling their powers had only created stronger celestial beings.
So, while the children were young, they created a realm, they called it a “haven” it was a beautiful place, a paradise They knew no better than to love it even if it was created to suppress their powers and stifle their aging.
Areti's older brother Seir began wandering off on his own and when he’d return he'd ramble about the trees whispering. He claimed that they had warned him of their parents. Areti and the rest of their siblings struggled to believe him and turned their attention away from the warnings.
However, the screen had been lifted from Seir’s eyes and he began searching for a rift, any sort of weakness in this prison world their parents had created. Finally, after years, perhaps decades or longer, he found a crack, the tiniest hole. After some deliberation, Seir directed his magic towards the fissure and began slowly tearing it up. Their "perfect" world was shattered and the children were sucked into darkness.
Areti was suddenly exposed to all that had been hidden from her and she went on a warpath, determined to destroy her parents. However, along the way she was lost in a snowstorm while traveling across a mountain range. There, her skin freezing and heart slowing, she looked to the stars, begging and pleading to be saved.
The stars, the very beings who had birthed her, answered in earnest. The girl's full powers bloomed and erupted from her.
Areti stayed there for months, traveling silently, enjoying the solitude and listening to the sky and all the secrets it had to share. She began training, her body growing stronger and her powers fueling her constant adrenaline. Areti is still so unsure what she is but upon descending that mountain, she carried her head high. She knew little of the world but her longing to save children from a fate as terrible as her own, became her main focus. And so, she became the guardian she is now.

Areti found herself sucked into the darkness again and when she'd arrived, she'd arrived in Caido. Her powers had morphed and her immortality had been stripped from her. She no longer had that glow that came along with her lineage.
This world was so new and foreign and all that would come with it could shape who she is and what she could become. However, the fact that she was born of gods means nothing as far as her position here, she is as regular as any other in her race.
