Appearance
Anastasia has soft features; round face, button nose, plump cheeks. She has no hard edges, no callouses, no scars. Despite her age, she retains a youthful appearance that is well-kempt. She's lived a gentle life, evident by the look of her. Wavy, dirty blonde hair falls past her shoulders and down to the middle of her back. Her light brown, almond-shaped eyes hold a kinder expression.
Personality
A bookworm at heart, Ana is well-versed. She often exemplifies her wider vocabulary, trying to find the perfect words for a situation or feeling. Through the stories she's read, both real and fiction, she has a ready empathy for others' experiences and struggles. This kind of emotional intelligence gives her insight and understanding into what others might be feeling. She often tries to dig into others' thoughts, well-intentioned of course but.. it's not always appreciated and can lend to some awkward or tense moments.
Speaking of awkward, although Ana is intelligent and compassionate, her introversion means that she sometimes gets anxiety in social situations. This often shows in a sudden and uncharacteristic clumsiness, whether it be verbal or physical. She fears things like scorn or embarrassing herself. So there is a bit of a domino effect once her anxiety begins. To remedy this she tries her best to get out of whatever is causing it.
Creative-minded, reading books is not the only thing she spends her time doing. She has a love for design, which can manifest in many different ways such as decorating or crafting, but mainly she makes clothes. She is a talented, diligent seamstress and takes pride in her work - never afraid to take on a particularly challenging project.
Often retreating to her books or sewing when life becomes too much, she uses her passions and work to avoid that which is difficult to face.
History
Ana had a more pleasant upbringing than most in Caido. She was raised by two loving parents in Stormbreak, who sheltered her from whatever they could. Respecting her parents rules, Ana rarely left Stormbreak unless she was accompanied by them. Even as she grew older she never acted out in favor of gaining more independence. She liked her life the way it was, learning how to sew from her mother and spending evenings with her father in his library.
They were a small family with a humble life, but it was enough for them to have each other and all of the friends they'd made in Stormbreak.
All good things must come to an end and, in time, her peaceful life was upended. The war came and went. Many of her friends fought and died, and her parents did not survive either. Now on her own, she remains in her family home and tries to fill the void left by their deaths. Her parents would want her to be happy, though she has yet to truly find that again.
