From Attuned to Ascended to Ancient, Kiada Njovu-Reyes has been reborn several times throughout her short life, but her fighting spirit has never once been diminished. With beauty, grace and a quick wit, Kiada is the whole package wrapped in an infectious smile. Recent endeavours have found her in the heart of the Hollowed Grounds, aiding the region and bettering it for her new Ancient kin, and whatever she does next, we know it's sure to pack a punch.
Congratulations, Kiada!

Matéo
as I watch the foaming breakers when the tide comes rushing in
It wasn't Matéo's first trip to the Halenani. Even before the intended separation from his late wife he had been a client, though his trips usually ended up being far more innocent than one would think when seeing him enter. Initially, he had solely sought after the services by women employed at the Halenani. Perhaps the lack of love in his marriage, the sense of duty he felt, was only because of his wife. Being shallow was something he could work on; being anything but straight was another issue altogether.
As it was, maybe something was just broken in general. Even after seeing the men the Halenani offered, he couldn't bring himself to touch them. Admiring them was one thing, but with a completely sober mind, there was usually an awkward amount of distance between one person and the other and more than a few sessions of crying, to the escorts assured discomfort.
Today, he had his resolve set. (Mostly) Sober and with a wave to the bouncer on duty, unfortunately not Harper, he made his way once more into the Halenani to check-in at the front desk.
"Hello, I'm here to uh... Rent a room."

When Phoebe saw him enter, she leaned back into her chair. Well, if it wasn't the now the infamous Matéo. She had thought after the last story she had heard - the poor, sweet Lily giving him a steep discount after he cried into her arms - he wouldn't show his face again. Yet here he was. Interesting. Fortunately for him, based on the stories her workers had told her, she had a feeling she knew what his issue was.
"Welcome back, dearie, how have you been?" she said, standing from her seat at the desk. She offered her arm, smiling at him warmly. "It is so nice to see familiar faces. Tell me now, how have you enjoyed your visits so far?" she said.

Mateo hadn't expected Phoebe herself to be working the front desk and can't help his raised brow as she greets him as a familiar friend might. If your friend was a client for the brothel you ran and had only run into a few times around town and- You know what. Nevermind. He had never expected to get this friendly with the staff, but when one spent more time crying during a session, perhaps it was inevitable.
He nods to her in acknowledgement before answering her question, a tight smile brought to his lips. He hadn't known them to do customer service surveys and the fact that the head of the establishment was asking had set him noticeably on edge. "Enough to keep returning, Phoebe. Isn't that what you want here?"

Apparently he wasn't going to take her arm, and the tight lipped smile did nothing to help his case. She feigned insult at his words, placing a delicate hand over her heart. "Matéo, dear, I'm hurt that you would think me nothing more than a cutthroat business woman!" she said, frowning slightly. "I don't want you to just come back, I want you to enjoy every second you spend here; Frey would not approve of anything less and neither will I." she said.
Her frown dissipated and was once more replaced with a warm grin. "Now, why don't you and I go have a little heart to heart, hm?" she said, a knowing glint in her eye. Apparently he was under the impression she didn't know about his crying spells - but she intended to fix them.
