From Attuned to Ascended to Ancient, Kiada Njovu-Reyes has been reborn several times throughout her short life, but her fighting spirit has never once been diminished. With beauty, grace and a quick wit, Kiada is the whole package wrapped in an infectious smile. Recent endeavours have found her in the heart of the Hollowed Grounds, aiding the region and bettering it for her new Ancient kin, and whatever she does next, we know it's sure to pack a punch.
Congratulations, Kiada!

Court of the Fallen was created in October of 2018 by Odd, Honey, and Crooked.
Skinning and hosting by the epically talented Kaons, and functionality fanciness by the coding magic of Neowulf. If you ever see either of them around, make sure to show them some love!
Moving the boulders was hard work, and work that George did mostly on his own. He hadn't expected Flora to help with such a physical task, really, and his estimation of Jack was leaning more towards him being rather less than helpful as well. So it was with a mental shrug that George continued on with his task, shifting stones and dirt out of the way of the water, pausing periodically to take a sip of whatever beverage Flora had to offer at the time.
When it finally came in, though, they ran into a wee bit of a problem. The water could come in just fine - but it had nowhere to go back out. "If you can push the water back long enough that I can dig out a slope, that might work," agreed George. "Or there's always the possibility of digging a trench to catch the overflow." He looked towards Flora, raising an eyebrow, and waited on her instruction.

George makes a suggestion and waits for further instruction.
"No, really?" Flora sasses in Jack's direction if only to try and buy herself time in which to think. To be honest, she'd just assumed that the boys would just take care of this problem themselves. It certainly seemed like a problem that required a boy-mind to solve, feminism be damned.
"Okay so...slope it is." Trying to hide the question in her voice, Flora nods as decisively as she can. If this ended up being a poor idea, the Doubletake supposed that they could always change course a few weeks in if the water feature proved unmanageable. Worst worst case scenario, she was fairly confident that Ronin and Remi could come in and fix things if things really got that dire.
"I have an idea...you two get to work on that." So saying, it's with a bright grin that Flora disappears, heading in the direction of the marketplace with a wide grin.
Okay, slope time!

"Really," Jack repeats, bobbing his eyebrows at Flora as if he knows what he's saying is surprising. Draining the last of the booze from his glass, he nods as she decides on her course of action and turns back to George. "Aye, can do that," he confirms, stepping closer towards the source of the water in case he should need to control more of it from the source.
While Flora takes herself off somewhere (bye, then), the captain begins to manipulate and push the water back from the entrance to Rae's fingers, holding it at bay like a strange parting of the sea behind the thief as he works. "Should be space enough for you to work," he mutters, not that talking is high on his list of priorities currently.
Jack holds the water back so George can dig the slope!

Jack being an Abandoned is common knowledge these days, however his Telepathy remains a well-kept secret:
Magic: Passive Telepathy | The user can read the surface thoughts and emotions of those within a 30ft radius. Control is excellent. Note: "Thoughts and emotions" include anything written in a character's narration in a post.
Type: Grey | Rank: Mastered
Also branded with a small star tattoo beneath his left eye.
Flora left the room, leaving the two men to their own devices to make her vision a reality. Whatever George had expected the day to be, shoveling mud and dirt had not been high on his list. Still, if it meant getting the Hanged Man back up and running properly, then he'd be happy to do his bit.
As Jack began to manipulate the water away from the entrance, George offered a quiet word of thanks and grabbed a shovel, making his way past the piled boulders and down toward where the floor naturally began to slope away into the entrance to Rae's Fingers. He began to shovel the dirt and mud away from the entrance, piling it closer to the back room to make a slope down, even going to far as to build up a bit of a wall of sorts along the boulders. If Flora didn't like it, he could always dig it back out again.
Flora can only hope that Jack and George are able to balance each other well enough to complete their task without her oversight. It was a bold claim to be sure, given just how little input the Doubletake realistically had. But that was the whole reason to have people you trusted help out, right? So that you didn't have to do everything yourself?
Appearing an hour or so later, Flora returns with drinks in hand for both George and Jack. Flashing each a smile as she handed them their respective drinks (Jack's had an umbrella in it, you're welcome), the Doubletake unshouldered the bag she'd been carrying to reveal dozens of Manta Crystals. "Just in case." She trills; just in case applying to needing to make a quick escape through the Fingers as much to any accidentally flooding within the guild.
"I appreciate you both so much. I'm just going to...do a few finishing touches around here." Said just vaguely enough not to invite questions but with enough emphasis that she hoped the men would wonder what additional plans she had.
