On inky black paws, the fox padded through the ashy ground towards the base of the Spire, golden eyes catching the moonlight every now and then. When they landed on Remi, Ianto let out a yip of greeting, breaking into a trot to reach his friend more quickly.
You would pick a place like this, he remarked, moving to sit directly between the lion's two big forepaws, plonking himself down and lolling back against the tawny fur.
