Jigano was not a morning person at the best of times.

He had more options for places to spend the night now, at least, and drifted between them as need and desire drew him to each in turn. His den in the Glade was still his first and fondest home, though, the old badger holt plenty large enough for a fox and his gryphlet, especially since most of his gear and items had been moved to the Guildhall for safe-keeping and the den was now a place of simple comfort.

He might have slept right through the excitement if Ronin's piercing whistle hadn't split the air, sending his head up so fast his ears flattened against the roof of dirt above him. There was shouting, and music and clearly there was something going on, something exciting - and potentially threatening his comfortable little home.

The fox slipped outside with Isuma at his heels, the gryphlet perky in spite of her companion's groggy grumpiness. The scent of smoke on the morning breeze was unmistakeable as the sun started sending its first golden rays across the land, but they hadn't been what set the distant blaze. No, the music sent shivers of familiar dread through him as he raced across the loam, passing from Glade to Woodland and following his nose and ears alike as he neared the source of the bedlam. He shifted on the run, suspecting hands would be more useful for fighting the thick smoke that had to have its source in deadly fire and preferring to make his change without an audience as Isuma bounded up to a fallen log and from there to his shoulder.

The scene was purest chaos by the time he reached it, with Edrei at its center, cool as a cucumber as she saucily snuffed the flames and sassed the... giant... flinthopper?! Well. That was terrifying on levels he hadn't experienced since leaving his world behind. The face alone was built from nightmares, even before the flames it sparked in the dry underbrush and the haunting melody of destruction it played upon its stony violin. Ronin and Sugar, Remi and Are, bright Melita, Deimos and dear Amalia, and... someone he didn't recognize, but who was in bad shape from the looks of it. Amalia had the situation well in hand, however, already tending to the pair, and Jigano felt a swell of pride for his friend, his family, his fellow loreseeker.

There was not much he could do to improve that situation, or the contained blaze, so he headed over to Ronin and nodded at the oversized fire hazard with a raised brow. "Looks like a job of the Monster Hunter's Guild," he said with a wry grin. "The loreseekers are at your disposal on this one, Guildmaster, if there's any help we can lend."
