Vynter
He had missed the moonlight. It was a welcoming repreive from dark rooms and cold caves. He remembered when he could sleep under the stars without feeling the chill from the earth or be disturbed by the bite of insects. This new form left him feeling vulnerable, and he longed to find comfort in something familiar. He approached the water silently, pulling off the shirt that was way too small for his stature.
Dropping in on the shore he rolled his pant legs up, before welcoming the chill of the water between his toes. Once the stream had reached his calves he stopped, basking in the moon that made his porcelain skin glow white. He began to wash himself, hands scooping the water over his hair and shoulders to rid himself of the sweat and dirt.
Whilst his washing something caught his attention, causing him to turn and find a man searching for something in the water. Taking pause from cleaning he made his approach, eyes focused on what his hands were grasping for beneath the surface. It seemed someone else had taken notice of him too, for a woman walked over and spoke out to him. Were they part of the same herd? Had he interrupted a exclusive gathering between their own ranks? He decided it didn't matter right now, and instead tasked himself with assisting in the man's search, hands exploring the riverbed with purpose. When he would find a piece of what he thought the stranger was looking for, he would offer it to him and wait for him to take it.
