Do you hear what I hear?

A squirrel and a young girl. That was a rather odd pairing. What made it even more surprising was that it sounded as though the squirrel was speaking. Remi knew only a small amount about magic, but he was pretty sure that it started to manifest roughly at the age that the young girl below was. Perhaps it was some sort of illusion magic? Honestly he couldn’t even really hazard a guess; magic would likely always be something that he failed to understand. Magic squirrel or not though, Remi could feel his stomach give a pang that indicated hunger. Squirrels weren’t terribly good sources of food, but they were usually easy enough to catch. Especially from his top-down view of the labyrinth as it was, surely it wouldn’t be too hard? Gliding above Beatrix, Remi kept his keen eyes peeled for any other rodents that might be scurrying around. If the child had decided to work her magic on that particular creature, likely she wouldn’t enjoy it very much if he turned it into his lunch. remi the alchemist
