Only it really, really didn't. Taking out two with his talons, the remainder of the squirrels used the dead bodies of the lifeless two to try and reach higher to attack the hawk. Leaping at him, Remi had to circle higher to evade them. Still he tried to keep himself between the squirrels and Beatrix. He couldn't communicate to her, though hopefully she would keep going the way he'd previously indicated. remi the alchemist
