Vervain
Call it fate. Call it luck. Whatever it was that had Vervain near the Spire when a pale, panicked dragonling swooped down near her, it meant she was at the mouth of the basement in no time at all. (She had just come from the glade, in fact, but the herbs and honey she'd been gathering were left abandoned). Beneath she could hear a low hum, like beesong, and voices she recognised. Slowly, carefully, she made her way down to meet the others; there was already visible deterioration in the stones, so she was sure to watch her step.
Oh, and the air. Wincing and covering her mouth with her hand, Vai reached up and, with a fierce pulse of will, sent a gale howling down through the passageway to clear the gas, if only temporarily.
When she arrived it was to the sight of stacked rocks, winged folk, and a very battered and bruised looking Ronin. "Go," she said softly, relieving him of his bow and arrows whilst he was still dazed. "Take yourself to the infirmary. What's happening here? Is everyone alright?"
Vervain arrives like cavalry and tags Ronin out of the KQ!
She uses Upgraded air manipulation to clear away the gas from the group, and takes up Ronin's bow and arrows.
