She grins to Lily, hugging her tight in greeting. “You look absolutely wonderful, yourself.” She compliments, stepping back and nodding with a slightly smaller grin. Her gaze lifts when she hears Bastien’s voice, and shifts her attention toward her lover when they soften when he leans in to kiss her cheek. But she listens diligently as she leans into Bastien slightly when Lily mentions what the gathering is about. For a moment, she’s a bit surprised she misunderstood the instructions, but it seemed everyone else had too.
But when Lily mentions her harp is in the back, she recalls Bastien’s masquerade and as she glances about the room she notices there’s quite a few people that were here the first time she had gone to the back room. Only that time, she had spent most of the rushed night with Lily and Lucas, rather than with Bastien and Edrei. It seems Bastien understands what Lily is getting at too, and as they begin to follow, he looks back to her and squeezes her hand as if to ask if it’s okay – and honestly? Rexanna was the type of person to stick with only one person when committed, but they had done this before and still found love with one another.
She wanted to change, too, and so she squeezes his hand back with a soft nod and a playful look as she follows Lily and Bastien. Immediately upon entering, she grew warm and flushed, her cheeks hinting at a reddish hue as she leans against Bastien and shivers rise against her flesh with a small amount of goosebumps at his touch. For a moment, Rexanna glances for the harp knowing she won’t find it, before she notices that Edrei isn’t wasting any time as she focuses on Lucas – and her eyes flicker toward Lily with curiosity.
Ah, but enough of that. Right now, she has Bastien and the heat in her core, and she leans up against him a bit more, reaching up to let her hair down, running a hand through the dark sun-kissed strands as she smirks to him with a raised brow, as if to ask if anything has changed with him in this room or if his flag still won't rise (she remembers the surprise at Lucas the last time in this room, and she wonders if it's only him or if it works on any Ascended). Still, she aims to place his hands onto her hips to run along her sides, along the thin skin tight dress she wears.
