He shivers at the mention of the Longnight. It was always an ordeal and this year would be his first alone. But he would worry about that later! "It must have been hard," he nods to her, "For you.. not having been born here... to go through that. Glad you're okay." He means it, really. He's afraid of her but he's taken a bit of a shine to her. Something about her feels very much like himself? Like she's on a similar wavelength.
Oh yeah! She can turn into a bird. "Works for me. I'll keep an ear out for ya." He nods again, watching as she takes off before ducking into a stalk. He reached back, carefully pulling out his bow. For a split second he thought about shooting the vulture down but shook his head, trying to follow her as best as he could.
Hearing her call, he begins to move a bit quicker. His eyes lingered on her a moment before searching through the treeline. Something moved, something large. He gives a call, something birdlike but not quite as he draws his bow. He takes careful aim before firing.
