Zariah the Merciless
The gust of cold air that poured in as the door to the viewing deck opened made her pause, face a mask of nothingness as she waited to see who might appear. Much to her luck, it was none other than Neron, hair and shoulders dusted with snow that seemed to be constantly falling outside. His slight falter, only noticed because she watched such things closely, brought a small smirk to her lips. It was quite fun to catch people by surprise, especially those usually so collected as him.
”Good morning, Warden.” she cooed in a near purr, dipping her head and shoulders ever so slightly to him. Under usual circumstances she would never show such fealty to one she considered her equal, but appearances were appearances, and he had many to maintain if he was indeed in charge of this place; and she supposed she had offered to assist him however he needed. ”Only if you’d join me.” she said of his offer of breakfast, shrugging lightly. She didn’t eat very much when she did eat, and breakfast was her least favorite meal of the day and regularly skipped. Zariah glided over to him, heels clicking on the stone. She reached up to gently brush the snow from his shoulders, and even dared a quick brush through his hair – nails skimming over his scalp and careful to ensure it did not destroy whatever style he’d left it in. ”Though, I must admit I am far more interested in whatever reason you had intended to send for me.” she said quietly, dropping her head to the side. ”Idleness is not my natural state as you know.” she added with a smirk.
