He was a fox amongst a gaggle of geese, a wolf in sheep’s clothing — the list of idioms could grow until the cows came home. Like that fox who hid betwix the geese he was cunning and elusive, and as he stood as a hushed sentinal against the trunk of an oak bow drawn and arrow under thumb, he was also a viper coiled to strike.
But Isengrimm had no quarry to hunt today.
He had learned from a young age to always keep an arrow in your hand when you felt you had eyes upon your back.
