With a content 'mmm', Bastien wrapped his arms around Rexanna as she leaned on him and kissed whatever part of her was closest with silly, laughing kisses. Feigning upset as she rolled away (pouting for just second) he laid on his side too, mocked the way she regarded him by looking her up and down obviously with a wiggle of his eyebrows.

The question caught him off-guard, though. He thought he knew the reasons she had chosen to Ascend, though when he actually tried to put them to words all he could make was something like 'well she loves me, so, yeah'. "I always love to hear your thoughts, Rexanna. Please, tell me." As long as he was still a part of the reason, he was happy enough to hear any others.

Now my spirits rise when she turns out the bedroom light
