Phoebe smiled a little as he ran his thumb along her jaw, tilting her head towards it slightly. But her brow arched as he described what had happened with Pim. Her notebook? Pears? Her mind felt a bit sluggish as she tried to piece it all together. Then...oh. At least the notebook waa clear. She frowned a bit. "So you saw my notes." she said quietly. Once her hands had started trembling, she had suspected it but didn't want to admit it, and she certainly didn't want to tell him, not until she was certain anyways. "I uhm...I understand if that means you'd rather...not be a thing...anymore." she said quietly, looking away from him, her voice weighted with sadness.Why wouldn't he want to leave? It wasn't like he was bound to her or they'd been together long. It was probably his preference. Who wanted to be with a dying girl?
But then he mentioned seeing Frey, and suddenly the pears made sense. She looked up at him wide-eyed, before forcing herself to sit up, lifting a hand to rest on his cheek. "Are you alright?" she asked, a hint of concern in her voice. She loved Frey dearly, but she knew they could be...harsh if people did not treat them with due respect, and for some they could even be a bit scary. She had hoped to be able to prep him for meeting any of the gods, a heads up she had never received, but clearly Pum had had other plans.
