He kisses her gently when she steps up on her toes to meet his lips, and he smiles that same gentle smile as she pulls back, feeling somewhat better than he had on the walk over. She gives him a small smile and a comment that he can’t help but let his usual self shine through just a bit, mouth quirking to the side, he tilts his head to regard her. “Didn’t want you to think I was violent.” He tells her, a slight joke to his tone, but deep down he is and he knows this.
